Fight for Air
I looked and tried to see if this would violate anything, but I can't tell. I understand if it gets deleted if I missed a rule against this.
My girlfriend lost her mom November 2009 and she did the fight for air climb for the first time last February which takes place all around the country. It is not for her mom but for everyone that suffers from various lung diseases. To go up I have to raise at least $100 and I know I will make that. However I was curious if anyone would donate to this cause. Firefighters from 9/11 are dying from the same disease her mom died from which is idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Here is what she wrote for her climb page:
"In memory of my mom, Debbie, who passed age on November 8th, 2009, just 4 days after her 48th birthday. My mom wasn't just my mom, she was my best friend. She was admitted into the ICU for pneumonia and later induced into a coma. My mom was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. After several lung collapses and complications, the signs of oxygen loss were present. Ultimately, we had to pull the plug. My mom hung on for 13 days. She showed me what courage, family, and strength was. To this day, not a moment goes by where I don't think about my mom. I was too young to lose my mother, as she was too young to die."
If anyone would like to donate to me or either the team, it would be greatly appreciated. This ONLY and I mean ONLY goes to charity. Her job is matching her total up to $5k. There is no scam, no pocketed money. Here is my page and the Team page
Thanks for reading,
John
