When i was in my late teens living at home, a guy called early one Saturday morning when i was making breakfast. Something about home-delivered groceries... told him we were not interested, then he got a little agitated so i decided to have some fun... told him well tell me more.. he starts into a talk about what if i could walk across the street and buy groceries.. i say, no way.. this is a residental neighborhood, it's not zoned for commercial. My neighbor lives across the street, ther is no room for a grocery store. he got really pissed then.. i kept him on the phone for about 15 minutes.. he finally hung up on me... i laughed for a long time.. he never called back

I think i heard Jim Florintene do this: I say hold on I want to write all this down. I need a pen and paper (not actually getting it). Then I repeat verbatim what they say. If they say "Mr. Smith, why are you writing this down?" I quietly repeat and act like I am writing.....Mr. Smith, why....are you...writing....this down. It is a great time waster and it totally stumps them as to why this guy is writing everything down. I never have to anwer any of their questions because they get mad and keep talking and I "keep writing". Eventually they will hang up frustrated.

My friend's dad kept getting pestered by a company and no matter how may times the told them not to call they did. After one call around 10Pm he had had enough. He tracked down the CEO's name and home phone number and called in the middle of the night and let the CEO have it. He was never bothered again.
