The only reason LF is so bent out of shape is she sleeps during the "normal" business day. That being the case, SHE is the negligent one for not taking some "extra" steps to avoid being disturbed. Ever heard of a Telezapper? The suggestion to get some device that requires a code be entered by the caller to even ring your phone is VERY valid. If your family can't remember a 3 digit number, I'd be surprised if they could remember their ATM pin.

LF, do you get this bent out of shape about e-mail spam?

Code58 & Glc thank you both. It was caught early and she has an amazing Doctor/Nurses. She's a tough one that has unbreakable faith in God & the positive things people are capable of. Through everything, she's never lost her sense of humor & vibrancy. Glc, she knows the l.f. of the world are part of it and pays them no mind. She does enjoy the jokes & pranks some play.
I honestly feel pity for l.f. her obvious bitterness & hate must be all consuming. She's clearly a very narcasistic, type-A personality, deluded into thinking the world is out to get HER, just her, because that's what the world revolves around. Those are the types of "hopeless" people that go through life sweating the small stuff & seek the negative in everything/everybody. That much time spent mustn't leave much room for happiness.
I'm glad a few saw my post for what it was meant to be. I never implied t/m isn't annoying or people don't have the right to get mad, sue, swear, urinate on the phone or whatever. But, to walk a mile in someone else's shoes & how pointless it is to purposely try to cause physcial harm to a human being over something so small.
As I say my prayers tonight, I'll include l.f. in hopes she'll let go of whatever has made her so bitter and enjoy life a bit more. My only other theory was she might need truck load of Metamucil & Preperation H, as I've heard the inability to poo makes people grumpy & ill tempered.

Oh, that was just pathetic, chock full of ignorant cheap shots, inaccuracies, etc. Please do not pray for me; your blind hatred will do no one any good, including yourself.

Although I doubt you will accept this in the spirit I intend, I am glad your mother is doing well. A positive prognosis for pancreatic cancer is absolutely amazing.

Us Irish (mom side Kilpatirck dad side Kennedy) can definitely be stubborn at times and have a a pretty good temper. I suppose if I was getting bugged all the time, especially being disturbed from sleep i would be pretty upset. I hate getting woken up in the middle of the night when I am sleeping. I would definitely be checking out some type of blocker as some have suggested. It may be an inconvenience, but maybe it will be less then the frustration you are experiencing at the present moment.

Rhonda, Your post really made my day. I can't tell you how thrilled I am that the news about your mother is not near as bad as I feared it might be. I'm also greatly encouraged by your mothers attitude, her sense of humor, (how do people get by without one?), her deep faith in God, (my wife was a nurse for 35 yrs and now granddaughter has taken up the torch in her place, they are both well suited for it) and a glass that's half full rather than half empty. Our Dr. stated something I've never heard anyone before or since say. We have come to know her as a personal friend and I once told her, "Pat, you know my glass is ALWAYS half full, to which she said "or overflowing". That says a lot about who she is and her eternal optimism, she's a sweetheart!
God Bless you and your Mom, and keep that glass "OVERFLOWING"!

By the way, grandaughter lives in Clarksville and works in Nashville and My wife's sister lives in Hendersonville. Christmas is always time together with them.

Code58, yeah things are going well, fingers and all other appendages are crossed. There's 4 more treatments left, then a lot of tests. She always tries to see the good in people, even those who are really rotten. To find a happy Doc. is rare these days. They may be paid well, but the malpractice insurance is horrendous and they are way overworked.

Rhonda, our Dr. (Internist) says "I don't do this for the money", "I don't even know what I make". She cares about people, not money. She is rare indeed, we are so blessed to have her, also one of the BEST Dr's I've ever gone to.
