Teach your children well....

Now see, you should reluctantly take a lesson from most of us on the board and refrain from those blatant personal insults, they usually result in a suspension. Lord knows you've had enough of them so you should have some retention of knowledge.

I was, for a good part of my life, a "liberal". It wasn't untill I'd worked for my father for many years that my ideas of peace, love and equality were misguided. I started to understand why some people have more than others. I got to see with my own two eyes why. I also have seen people work very hard and get less than what they deserved in return. When we weren't talking about other peoples money any more, I'd pretty much stopped being "liberal".
I really dont' think that parents, or any adults, should be using kids as props. It's one thing to bring your kids to see what's happening. It's another to have them holding signs and teaching them to chant.
I've been to several "Tea Party" type events over the past few years. There have been times when kids are reciting what their parents or adults have said. It's wrong then as well. The people at these events were visably uncomfortable seeing these kids parroting what they've heard.
What you did when your were a kid sounds like it was for a nobel cause. You wanted to get back to school. I guess there may be times when kids can be involved? It just seems like many parents and adults are doing a disservice to these children teaching them to chant political statements.
We don't have kids, we plan not to. I guess I might have a different opinion if we did.

Hey, I appreciate you saying that.
Habibi and Kobi are probably right, I probably do "have issues", but then who doesn't? If I do some passive/agressive thing, it's not intentional. People can think that I have issues, that I'm right or that I'm wrong. What ever they might think, I'd hope that they think I'm reasonable.
I have to admit, I haven't studied the issue with the Wisconsin law all that extensively. I've read several news bits about it, but could not site any one at this moment. I'd say I have a general understanding of the situation.
I tend to dissagree with your take on the situation. I don't see this as a union busting bill, but as a belt tightening bill. The belt tightening has been going on in small businesses in this country for a few years now. It's about time the public sector takes part.
I might disagree with you on this one, but I see that you're a young guy who is paying attention. It doesn't matter if we agree or not, I respect that you are making an effort to know something about something, which I believe is a pretty rare occurance these days. I think that this shows that you are a reasonable guy. I'd say that in the end, it's a good thing to be.
