Sig Sauer 1911 .45's

Anyone have any experience with one of these? The only Sig I own is an SP2022 in 9mm and it is an excellent gun and very accurate.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts/experiences with them, positive or negative !

Sig, a great company has been getting complaints about QC the last couple years. I have a P229 and love it but I don't know if I will be buying anymore Sigs.

I would stick to Springfield, Kimber, Colt, Para, Wilson. Problem is a good 1911 is not cheap. If I had to be on a budget, it would be a Springfield.

I'm sure others here will disagree with me...

X2 on Springfield. Their customer service is top notch from what I've heard. I definitely plan on picking up a loaded model in the near future.

Well the complaints are a result of the P250s and 238s. My buddy has a CCO right now for around $900 and he keeps his guns in immaculent shape.

PM if intrested. I dont have any money

I just picked up a Para GI Expert for under $600 a couple weeks ago but have not had any time do anything but give it a good cleaning. It's built well and it's very tight and solid this is also my second Para and the quality is good.

I have no experience with the Sig 1911. Wilson Combat, Springfield, Para, Smith & Wesson in that order for me.

Thanks for the info guys. I've been doing a lot of reading (and drooling over some of the 1911's out there) about them and have narrowed what I want down to a Kimber or Sig. Seems like the first Sig 1911's that came out around 2004-2006 had a few issues but have been fixed since then.

Thanks for the pics of the Sig and Para guys. Both look great !

Whatever you do, get a full size 1911. Unless you are getting a Wilson Combat or Nighthawk, the full size 1911's just seem to run better and are a little more accurate.
