Pretty neat seeing those firefighting pics, got a few that I have shot with just a canon powershot, Would love to get into the hobby, not real sure what to start with, I have heard the cannon eos series is a good place for rookies. should I start there?

bunch of mine from photobucket, dosn't quite do justice. Sorry had lots to choose from so I picked a bunch

Would love to see that picture with a long exposure - but I'm just partial to long exposures on water.

The EOS line by Canon is a really good line and it has some awesome (and pretty expensive) cameras. For a beginner, I would suggest something in the Rebel range (T1i, T2i, T3i). I started with a T1i about a year ago and it's been a really good first DSLR for me. Just remember, quality increases with better lenses more than with better bodies.

Set up a flickr account - it don't kill the quality of photos like photobucket does.

Nice shots BTW!
