Wisconsin sports trifecta

Is anyone going to make the trip from Miller Park to camp Randall to Lambeau Field to be present at each event on the best sports weekend in Wisconsin history?
  • #7 Wisconsin Badgers host #8 Nebraska Cornhuskers at Camp Randall in Madison
  • NL Central champion Milwaukee Brewers host the NL West champion Arizona Diamondbacks at Miller park in Milwaukee
  • Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers host the Denver Broncos at Lambeau Field in Green Bay

Unbelievable weekend for a Wisconsin homer sports fan. For me the biggest game was the Badger game because they dominated in a big game like a national championship contender. I think for may of the local homers it was all about the Brewers, who appear to have a good shot at the World Series in a league where that is not expected to happen for the team from the smallest market. I guess that makes the victories and the accomplishing that goal that much more meaningful here to these fans because we accomplished what was not supposed to happen, because there was a lot of money spent by bigger teams in larger markets to prevent it from happening.

I saw the movie Moneyball this past weekend. Yes it is important to have more money buy talent, and spend your team's budget on results that matter most, like on base percentage, but still it comes down to any given Sunday, and a teams ability to play as one group working to achieve one common goal aligned with the whole organization and the fans, and when it's more about the people than it it about the money, it's all that much sweeter to be a part of.

As a Bears fan, seeing the Packers as good as they are, sucks.

But, the Brewers are great. Would love to see them go all the way.

There's a lot of anticipation for that Monday night game. Is that game in Chicago or Detroit?

Chicago has had a tough schedule. Right now Detroit is ranked 4th and Chicago 18, I'm thinking Detroit will move down and Chicago up after the game is won by either team by a field goal.
