Sad news. And I agree about the pics of him when he was dying. Some people have no class.

Whether you are a fan of Apple or not (I am), he never lost sight of innovation and quality.

Steve Jobs was a true innovator. There is hardly a person living who his creations have not touched. Microsoft pretty much stole his ideas to create windows and all then there is just the change in phones the internet and all because of the thing Jobbs made. Even if your like me and never bought an Apple product youve been touched by the him. There arent many like him who come along in a generation. Huge loss for humanity.

I saw this on Yahoo when I got home, he was definetly an innovator and driving force in the technology world and he has left some huge shoes to fill. Cancer is an evil, evil, disease I would not wish it on my worst enemy.

Brilliant man. Such a sad waste of incredible talent.

Pancreatic cancer took the life of a close friend of ours recently. It's a terrible disease. And, the treatment is brutal.

I think we all can agree that cancer is a nasty ba$tard of a disease.

Of course my mind also thinks about the nets that were installed around Foxcomm buildings to stop the workers making iCrap from killing themselves. Too bad the world didn't stop to think about these nameless faces...

I guess we are still not all equal outside of God's eyes.

Nope the air is just fine here. You probably did not see it since it was buried on the back pages of the Tech and Business sections but the working conditions in the factories that make apple products are so bad workers were jumping out of the windows to their deaths. Instead of improving the conditions nets were installed so the workers would not hit the ground and die. Only after the news of this got out they cut back the hours and gave the workers as small raise.

It bothers me that nothing was made of this yet the CEO/founder of the company whose products were being made is treated like a hero and mourned by the globe. Apple is a bad company, they infringe on other companies patent rights with nearly every product release yet they have the most aggressive patent lawyers in the tech industry. As stated above the working conditions in their factories are deplorable. As CEO of apple Jobs has to bear some of this responsibility. I've heard he was a very pleasant person to be around and I really do not wish him any harm or ill will.
