New plow mods to F150

I made this new setup for my plow on the F150 so as not to remove the gravel from the road while plowing. What do you think..

Looks like it will work perfect for what you're looking for - not plowing the gravel too. Nice that you can remove that bar in the event you do any plowing on a finished surface so you can get good and close.

I'm missing something here (never having plowed snow might have a lot to do with it). How does a round bar stop the gravel from being pushed out of the way? I can see how the round shape might help the stones slide under the plow better than a large flat surface would but won't they just mound up and all end up at the end of the driveway?

I would think something on each end that would hold the blade just over the top of the gravel might work better.

Yupp, it just rides on top of the gravel.

Good to see you are keeping busy during retirement Bucky.

Thanks, I need to save gravel from being pushed into the ditch, placng shoes on the plow does not work they just dig into the gravel and destroy the road.

I used to hate spring time in our yards, it meant hours in a loader with gravel trying to fix what you tore up for 6 months with the plow and loader moving snow. I have to build some wings and better skid shoes for the plow that I use on my tractor before the snow gets here.
