New Ford Daytona prototype

Ford has revealed the new prototype to be used in the United Sports Car Championship in 2014. Engine is based on the V6 EcoBoost twin turbo.

Looks kind of neat.

Don't post this in the 2009-2013 section! The "but it's not a VEEEE-8" crowd will go nuts.

Caption for Pic 2
Ford is switching from the current V8 racing engine to a competition version of the EcoBoost twin-turbo V6 featured prominently in many of it street cars and trucks. Built by Roush Yates Racing Engines, it promises to be at least as powerful as the old engine, but more fuel efficient, putting it in more line with the automaker's marketing message.

The car smashed the Daytona track record, almost 223mph.
