Question of the Week: Have you done a burnout with your F150?

There are lots of people who would never intentionally tear up their tires - but there are lots of people who do burnouts with their trucks for a variety of different reasons - and that brings us to our Question of the Week.

Have you done a burnout in your F150?

Are you kidding - a 4.2 do a burnout?

I'm scared I might break something doing a burnout...besides my teenage years are long gone!

Even when I was a kid, a burnout other than to clean the tires off prior to a drag race seemed pretty senseless to me. I did a lot of short burnouts when I was racing. That ended about 24 years ago.

Because the factory ones were junk and I had a new set waiting in the garage. With the TC all the way off a 4x4 EB will spin them all the way through 1st and most of 2nd gear if you launch it hard.

Cool, as long as you didn't grind them down to the rims!

I already hate it when it spins on take off so let stand doing a burnout, even with my 65 impala I don't want to do this. why stress all the components on things they are not made for?

plenty at the track, even a burn out contest at the ford track day. Some around town in the past. Not any thing in the last 5-6 years,
