Norton/McAfee
#16
I'm gonna have to disagree with you here ATST as I've been running McAfee company-wide and have nothing but good things to say about it. It runs great on my servers and plugs into ms-exchange nicely.
For our desktops I tried McAfee, PC-cillin 2000 and Norton. Norton was the biggest resource hog of them all, followed closely by McAfee. PC-cillin wasn't bad at all, but they were slower than the other 2 at releasing updates as new viruses are discovered which to me is of a #1 importance. I also ran very unscientific tests on each of the three when I was evaluating them, infecting a test machine with several different viruses. In each case all three caught and removed each of my test viruses. I must admit that it wasn't a very scientific test though.
Either way you look at it I don't think one can go wrong with either of the three.
