Repaint?

Thinking of sanding and doing repaint on silver pnly in bright red. Wondering, model paint or automotive?

No joke, just want it close to the real thing.

Guess I can use small diameter polished aluminum to duplicate step or nerf bars and exhaust tips to scale (3/16" at 1/18 scale = 3.375")?
Real trick would be a good replica of bug guard.
Bed cover would be a piece of cake.
Just wish the wheels matched and no way I can redo those FX4 decals on rear quarters.

I'd just wear rose colored glasses when I look at it. Its unbelievably difficult to paint a model with any kind of paint and have it come out as good as that one currently looks.

Try steaming the stickers off, when they dry out, they usually can be reused. Another option is take an exacto knife and very carefully peel them off.

I highly recommend a decent airbrush kit.
