Cool Southern Cal. Doheny State Park Rally

Hey guys,
left a message with Lori Cobal at Doheny State Park today. The person I first spoke to said that they can cone off an area as well as reserve a picnic area for us. I don't know what the fee's will be yet but as soon as I find out more info I'll post it. I told them the weekend of May 6-7 so lets get together and figure out what day is the best.
Later,
Bigmike

You KNOW I'll be there! It was great seeing those who attended the Edelbrock tour. For those who weren't there......you missed a damn fine tour! The Fords Forever show was also great. Fine weather.....crowds not too large. Altogether a fine day. Hope to see everyone at the beach! Let's have a very large turnout.

Hey guys,

I'm goin down to Doheny tomorrow to get the forms and check out the options. They have the ability to rope off an area for 20 to 25 trucks ($25 permit fee) the picnic areas are from $75 to $250 depending on size (I think we can manage a $75 size) Parking will still remain $5 to get in. Loser1 said he can put it on his credit card and we can contribute when we meet there (so if we get 20 people to show it'll only be $5...not bad)
Looks like Saturday May 6th would be a good day, if that day is bad for anybody we can try for Sunday.
Later...Bigmike

Hey Loser,

I'm gonna try to make it. I'd love to go, but can't really make any plans with the new baby around. : )

Cool

Ok guys here's the scoop.
We are reserving an area that can accomodate 30+ people as well as reserved parking for about 25 trucks. The picnic area has 4 BBQ's,
6 picnic tables and a fire pit.
Byof&d (bring your own food & drinks) bring the kids, kites, footballs and or whatever. It'll be from 9:00am to 7:00pm, or however long you feel like hangin out.
Park entrance is $5.00 (this includes general parking) and if we call all kick down $5.00 or so to the gracious Loser1 (who is layin down the initial funds) it would be greatly appreciated.
Also if we could get a headcount by Wed April 19th we can determine just how many parking spots we need to reserve.
Hope to see you all there.

Cool

Count me in for (1) and (1) parking spot for the Green turtle or is that Tortoise? We will have to see how Susan is feeling late that week.

TT,
count on caravaning up there again, we'll have to use those two-way radios again. They worked out well for the last rally. I am going to see if DirtSlinger is able to go. I also know of two new folks down here that have the new Supercrew. I will throw them an email.

Chris Duke!
Can you make it this time? it would be great to meet you and your truck (BlooDog)
