Post D/FW members Steve#1, David H, and Mudder go off-roadin, see the pics

Steve#1, David H, and I met up today to do some off-roadin. I brought my digital camera with me and got some great pics, mostly of Dave and Steve, but I got a couple of me.
We found some mud and some cool hills {some were really steep) and Dave and Steve had to go up every one of them, I kinda wussed out. But I did go down one that turned the truck sideways enough to where I could stick my arm out the window and touch the ground, NO JOKE, I was a little nervous. We are gonna try and make this a once a month thing and hope that more people will join us. So if any of you guys are in the D/FW area and would like to off-road with us just let us know or send me an email. Here are a few pics that I took:

Dave goin up, it took him a few tries but he made it

Dave inchin his way down, you had to be careful here or you would bottom out, he has a 4"lift but still had to take it slow, but he didn't have any problems

Dave rippin through the mud

Dave's truck is pretty high with the 4" lift, but looks really tall in this pic

Here's one of the few of me, hopped out and took this pic, wish my truck sat that high off the ground

Dave with a grin, it was a lot of fun, and maybe the next time we go out I will have a body lift and my winch hooked up.

We decided to call it a day and have some Mickey D's. We were all pretty nasty, they went on to Bass Pro Shops but I went and cleaned the truck It was great and I had fun.

All i have to say is YEA BABY!!!!!
I had a great time and we will definately have to do it again. Yall should have seen mudder runnin when i was tearin through that mud hole towards him both times. He would snap a picture and run. I just dont know what happened he just kept gettin in my way On the way back home i had to stop and clean off my headlights cause as you can tell from the pic at McDonalds they were slightly covered. Maybe next time we can get mumbly to take his rousch out there. Love the pics mudder. but maybe next time we can find a place without the trees.

Hey, Mudder did that front end dug in and bend the front plate. Looks like the tow hooks are full of dirt too. OH what fun you guys must have had. Crank up the torsion bars if you haven't done so yet.

Dave, I'd love a supercharger.

EXTINGUISHFIRE, would be great if you can make it to the next one, we need all the people we can get out there.

ccla, we'll be there to pull ya out bud, my winch will be ready to go for sure

Redone, Steve's truck was already like that from some previous off-roading (the bent tow hooks and plate), but he made me kinda nervous when he was goin down the hill.

I had a great time, and I'm ready to do it again. I have a sugestion for the next place to go, Shiloh Ridge http://www.shilohridge.com/ is in east texas neer the town of Alto, which is between Nacogdoches and Palestine. They have a camp site there, so we can make a weekend of it. The area is privatly owned and there are all types of trails, and a few man made mud bogs. Who wants to pick the date?
Redone: I bent my licence plate on a different trip when I was crossing a little vally. The top of the ground looked slightly damp, but it turned out to be about 3' of thick mud. I stoped when the front end hit the dry dirt on the other side and bent the plate.
The bent tow hook is from hitting a wash in a dirt road at about 30mph with the tires at 12psi. I need to get an alignment, and I'll probably crank up the torsion bars before I have that done.
