Unhappy Upstate NY/Canada Rally

This was posted here before with only a couple of responses, but I'm also dropping it on the f150 list/digest this time. Hopefully that'll peek a little more interest.

Other than Corey, Bazil & Defacto, is there anyone else interested in a rally at Niagara Falls sometime in May,June, or July?

Even if there's only a few of us, let's at least vote for a tentative date...

For me, the summer weekends are all alomst booked up, something before the may 24 weekend would be key for me, but I'm sure if it was later in the summer I could make it. Can't wait for summer though, drag racing, camping & fishing is where all my weekends will be devoted to...

Cool

I know that I can't make it that far, but if your doing drag racing we here in Texas have found that to be one heck of a great place for a Rally.

I was wondering when this topic would be brought up again. I'm all for it! If any help is needed in setting this up, I'll try to be as much of a help as possible. I'm ok with May or later - just later would give me more time to add to my baby. Let me know!

Cool

Good timing,
My better half and I are planning another "Trip across America" in mid June time frame. Will be in RI and then to PA to visit family. It would be great to see some East coast-ers. If we can't make the Rally then just to met and say hello.

Corey, I grew up in downtown Hamilton. All those one way streets were perfect for street racing, and there was always lotsa action. It still seems like I see a ton of hot Mustangs there.

Franks&beans, We would love to see ya if you got time on your way through, so keep us up to date on when that is.

I am interested in the rally in N.F. The date is not important to me, but I would just like to keep informed about it. Thanks

Welcome to the finest board on the net, BRBman!
Hamburg's a fine town, I blew my timing belt in my old turbo coupe on the way to street machine nationals one year.... I got looked after nicely at a local chain auto store, on a sunday.

Mumbly, drag racing is definately the thing around here in the summer time, Toronto boys hate us steeltowner's cause we have faster cars than them... There's not too much in the way of truck racing around here, it's all import racing up here, sad, but true...

Bazil, you're in beamsville! I'm always cruising through there, I have clients all over Southern Ontario, including a few in Smithville so I cut up the hill there. If you ever see, or should I mention hear, a loudass silver flareside sport cruising through town it's most likely me... we should hook up once in a while for a cruise or something. As for the street racing, I'm building up a new mustang as we speak here, little 306 dyno'd in at 502hp @ 7200rpm 2 weeks ago, all motor baby! and to top that off I'm gonna put a NOS cheater system in for an extra 150 or so hp.

Did ya see the thing about street racing on TV a few weeks ago? All imports running 14 seconds on the street! HAHA I'm gonna lay down 12's on the street. If ya ever wanna come up and see some street racing we all hang at the Timmies at Queenston & Nash Saturday nights... won't be anyone there until the weather gets nice though...

Corey

OK
let's narrow down a tentative date.
How about June 9,10,11???
It's a couple of weeks after Memorial day, the weekend before father's day and a few weeks before the 1st/4th of July Canada/Independence day weekend.
An overnite? An all weekend thing?
A Saturday drive-in/out thing?
What says all?

Works for me... if we have enough people in agreement, I'll book the weekend off. As far as a 1 day thing or a weekend thing I'm open to either, but I'll most likely drive home for the night, I'm like 45 minutes away...

Alrighty then.
With the smattering of responses received - let's shoot for June 9-11 for the Ontario/upstate NY rally to be held in Niagara Falls, Canada.

I located a KOA that my family and I might be staying at. It has a couple of heated outdoor pools, hot tubs, etc... www.koakampgrounds.com/where/on/55201.htm

Anyone live near the Falls? If so, any good ideas for a meeting place? (other than the parking lot at the butterfly conservatory or the lot over at Marineland).

As far as I can tell, there's only a film festival in N.F. that weekend. School shouldn't be out yet so it shouldn't be excessively busy. They do have fireworks over the falls on Friday nites...

I'm sending this to the list/digest too, as well as directly to the people who expressed an interest. Unfortunately I do not have an e-mail address for defacto, bazil1 or corey (hopefully those guys will look here).
