Gee Bob, I was hoping you wouldn't show up and call me on this. Yes, that is a shot of our run. I had to superimpose your truck in the photo. I put you as far out in front as I could. The reason you can't see your left front fender is you're leaning on it drinking a coke. And I got really discouraged when I saw how long the line was at the concession stand.

According to the TerraServer http://terraserver.microsoft.com/ima...=2910&Z=17&W=1
Milan is at about 660 feet above mean sea level.

Ford Motorsports Enthusiasts (FME) is meeting this Thursday night at Milan http://www.teamfme.com/news/item0070.html
This is a great, Ford sponsored, group of Ford employees (and some others) that rents the track once a month.

By the way this is a 1500 FT burnout in 3rd gear bouncing off the 5700 RPM rev limiter. From this angle you can't even see the end of it! That's me at the end on my way back. JMC is the one taking the pic.

HI!... Well guys, today is the "MILAN MEET"! Well I've managed to drop 300LBS from my truck. That should be good for about 3 tenths in the 1/4. I hope to see a lot of you there today, and please drive safely!

HI!... Well as some of you know, the "H.P FREAK" was not at the MILAN MEET today. As I was pulling away from my house this morning to go meet JMC, I hit the gas and "WOOSH"! Then the truck suddenely got extremely LOUD! I pulled back into my driveway and looked underneath my truck. Well one of my mandrel bent 90 degree's exhaust tubings snapped right off for some reason. Well I got it fixed, but at this time it was 3:00p.m and it would of been a waste of my time to drive to MILAN. Let's just say that I was extremely pissed off!!! I have spent over a month planning for this event and over $1000.00(CAN) getting parts for my truck! I am not a HAPPY camper! From what JMC has told me, the turnout was not very good. I guess JMC was the fastest (non-LIGHTNING) there. I guess there would'nt of been any competition for me then!LOL! Well I still plan on going up to MILAN DRAGWAY on OCTOBER 14TH, so if anyone wants to go then too, just let me know then. IZZY EDDY , his brother, me and mabey JMC will be going then. Let me know if your in.

I'll go.
As far as any Lighnings are concerned, a lot knew we were going, but they think that track sucks, and quite frankly with a few exceptions, most are just too stuck on theirselves to bother with any one who doesn't either 1) Own a Lightning or 2) Worship their Lightning.
There were some lightnings there -"Casper" the unfreindly ghost, and a couple more for you to humble if you could have.
Lets face it, most Lightning owners are stuck up. There, everyone has always been thinking it, I finally said it.
Funny though they even think they are better then the GenI people, and I love the GenI's!
I have never dissed people because of the year or model of their Ford, but that is just me.
Ok enough of that crap, Mtknee got sick, so he was not able to come.
Some people I talk to are afraid to go to the Track, because they think they are slow. Big deal, I am slower then I wanna be, I just go to play and encourage the others.
Anyway I got under 17 seconds (yeah!) like I knew I could. Now I have to see if I can get my chip tunned by Oct.
Hear me Mike?

Cool

Neal: Sorry to hear about your pipe problem and am glad you got it fixed. I wouldn't have wanted to go to Milan and say that I beat you. Remember the keys to your truck in my pocket conversation. My brother is out, he is leaving the day before to got moose hunting up north. Working on another guy though (the mechanic).

ATST: I would have to agree with you on that fact from hearing some of the attitudes flying around on the Lightning section. But hey, they figure that no one can touch their trucks. But with the proper knowledge and know-how there will be someone who can come very close to, if not beat a stock lightning. Besides they knew Neal was going and I am sure that they are keeping great notes on him and his estimated power figures. They don't want to run him, because they may get beat and then look bad in front of all their buddies. People fail to realize that by going to these "TEST & DRAG" days, it is strictly for fun and trying to solve problems, should you have any with your vehicle.

For those people who are scared to show up because they think that they are going to be embarrased because they go toooo slow. All you have to do is read my signature and you will automatically know that there is no way that I will break the 18 sec. time for 1/4 mile with my truck. I am going to meet people from this site and to have fun and encourage others to do the best that they can do with the conditions at hand. So if you like meeting people and having fun, then October 14th is the next time we are going to Milan. You will probably beat me because all the post '97 trucks are already ahead of me for horsepower, technically you already have beaten me and we haven't even raced yet. Mine only has 205 HP from the factory and I weigh in at around 5100 lbs. NO NEAL, JMC & ATST, I will not race you guys and for that fact, no one that is modified and yes that does include the chip.

Have Fun & Keep on Truckin'
Dean
