Partial Audiophile upgrade?

Has anyone tried a partial Audiophile upgrade, as in installing the HU and subwoofer and leaving the standard door speakers installed? I've heard the rear door speakers are all the same so I suppose the only thing "non-Audiophile" would be the front door speakers and tweeters.

I did.

I'm waiting to find a deal on the speakers, but right now I don't notice them, because I never had them.

In other words, it sounds good like it is.

I originally just added the audiophile head unit and subwoofer, then added the audiophile tweeters and midranges a couple months later. It sounded OK with the original speakers, but gets much louder and clearer with the audiophile component door speakers. I bought the door speakers for $41 off of ebay. They were a pain to install because you have to mount the tweeter on the back of the door panel, which requires taking apart the entire door.

I am currently helping my buddy install the audiophile system in his truck, unfortunately it was not pre-wired with the sub wire like mine, so we had too build the harness last night.
