Question on 04-06 6 disk changer

I just purchased off of ebay what was supposed to be the factory non-audiophile 6 disk cd-mp3 player.

What I got in the mail was I THINK an Audiophile.

I have read on the forums that the Audiophile has 3 connectors on the back of it (not including the antenna), and the non-audiophile has 2.

Is this true?

If so, what options do I have. Will I be able to install it in the truck (05 XL) without issues?

I assume the extra connector is for a subwoofer or external AMP?

If I just hook it up as-is, will I potentially do any damage to the system?

Is there any way to add the audiophile sub to the truck after the fact?

A little help or advice here would be great.

The guy on ebay is not returning my emails at this point.

Wel, I mounted it today. The factory HU on it (AM/fm onlly) only had one connector. I hooked it up and it worked fine. I ran the "test" cd it came with and it did not play anything on tracks 3,7,11.

track 3 was 20 hz, track 7 I believe was 20khz, 11 was something infinity (?).

I am guessing at this point, I have the audiophile CD player rather than the standard one. That also explains the lack of bass in the stereo system.

I would likely be better served by just returning this for the standard non-audiophile rather than deal with wiring and buying the audiophile sub.

Thoughts?

(PS: anyone want to trade an audiophile 6 disk MP3 for a non-audiophile 6 disk mp3?)
