I was recently driving in my '97 F150, and my aftermarket (kenwood) cd player died on me. I didn't think much of it, as the stereo was about six years old. I unhooked it, then reconnected it and it spit out the cd that was in it - this struck me as odd. I tried to reinstall the factory HU tonight, but it won't work.. I can push the clock button and check the time, and the buttons all illuminate with the headlights on, but that's all. What is going on here? The factory radio is just an AM/FM stereo, no cassette or cd.

 

sounds like the ignition fuse is blown.
