New Pioneer head unit

Hello, i tried using the search engine on here but when i put quotes around my search i got 0 results and no quotes yielded me like over 6 pages of results....anywayz im looking to buy a new head unit and was told pioneer was the best to get...i found 3 models and was wondering opinions on each...i can't decide between the DEH-P7000BT, the DEH-P7000UB, and the DEH-P6000UB,,, i believe the only difference between the 7000BT and the 7000UB is that one is bluetooth ready and one is not...please correct me if im wrong thanx...also the 70 dollar or so price difference between the two doesn't really bother me

Wes: just this last weekend i put in the pioneer FH-P8000BT, its the dbl din with built in BT and it works great, and look good. i was gonna try to post some pics but work has me running ragged. the BT works awesome. I did a while system and found alot of useful info on this site and HUGH Thanks to Travis at KCautosound, he put up with alot of dumb questions. but i did some horse trading locally and then got some stuff here and there and did the pioneet HU, Alpine 4 channel powering 4 rockford fosgate door speakers, the fronts are the components and then a small kicker 150 watt amp powering a 10 kicker under the rear seat. its not a ground shakeing system but sounds way good for me. and since im a old f@rt i dodnt rock out to much anymore these days. And the USB works so well i havent even loaded a cd.

anyway good luck and you will find some decant folks on here to help you spend bucks on your truck

i looked into that model...how does the display look?? i liked the looks of it but i didn't want to go through the hassle of fitting a double din in their...ik its not all that hard but i would rather not do it, and if i was gunna do it i'd pry go with a touch screen...but thanx for the info i'll keep it in mind as it isn't to bad of a price

Just to start off, I get to play with these bad boys just about every day, so heres my opinions
DEH-P7000BT - Awesome unit if you are one that talks a lot while driving or livein a state where they are or is going to be handsfree laws. The only thing that turns me off about the 7000 BT is that the screen/display is ugly. Last years 6900BT was much more asthetically pleasing.

DEH-P6000UB - same as above, just minus the bluetooth and plus the OEL display. If your not going to use the bluetooth, go with this one.

DEH-P7000UB - this is a european deck. same as the 6000, just with a multilanguage display. Other then that, they appear to be the exact same radio.

IMO, there is no cleaner looking radio then a pioneer. I had the 5900IP (last years version of the 6000) in my truck before I picked up my AVIC, and I was incredibly happy with it. It now resides in the girlfriends bug.
