Pioneer AVH-P6000DVD VS the AVH-P4000DVD ????
Ok so I've seen the threads and read how everyone loves their Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD. Obviously Pioneer is doing something right because these are some awesome units. My question is this....Is it worth spending near almost $400 more on the 6000 model than the 4000? the 6k has a 7" screen w/ a 6 disc changer where the 4k has a 6.1" screen w/ a single disc changer. I'm thinking if I'm going to shell out $700 bucks for a H/U I might as well get a unit that has NAV. I'm having a hard time convincing myself to pass up the $300 4k unit for the $700 6k unit......
Advice and suggestions????

I just went through the same process.
For me, I saw no real benefit to the 6000. The extra screen real estate would be nice, Although the pixel count is the same. To get that larger screen Pioneer had to go with a motorized screen with the disk slot behind it. That is just one more thing that can break. I prefer the fixed screen.
I also saw no real benefit to the changer. I guess you could load up 6 movies for a long trip, or mega mp3's, etc.
Both units have Ipod connectivity (with a 'purchased separately' cable). Both units also have a usb port that allow access to up to 250gb of music/video storage. Both units also have an aux input (the 4000 has it in the front panel, the 6000 has it in back). And both have the IP-BUS if you want to add additional aux ports or other devices.
I couldn't see spending the extra 3-400 dollars for what seems to me to be very little extra. And the 4000 also has some features that the 6000 does not have, like support for Ipod video, intelligent dimmer control, and support for ID3 tags.

For the bypass, a simple relay using the ground wire and amp turn on lead will fix that issue. PM if you need help with that. I can watch crystal clear videos on my 7" screen while moving with no issue.
