I have had my AVIC F90BT for about 5 hours and love it. Our trucks do not have a true double din so there is some dash modification to do. Or I can sell you my factory head unit???

lol it would be a huge downgrade to go back to a factory unit.

thanks though.

i dont mind modifying it to fit. stuff like that is fun to me so thats not a huge deal.

as long as noone has terrible things to say about the 900bt i think ill go with that one

thanks for your reply

Jvc

Hey man, here's one for ya, I have the JVC NX-7000. Does everything you want for ALOT less money and is an awesome unit. I would get the Kenwood 8120 before the Pioneer (no offense to you Poineer guys). I've had several poineers and they are goog units, I just don't care for them. Here's a pic of mine:

Plus it has a detachable faceplate!

can you explain to me how the x910 is better? maybe a faster OS? but the specs seem almost the exact same. i already took a look at it before making this thread and couldnt find much different that would justify the price difference.

also. the JVC you talked about is actuallly a little more expensive when you have to buy the 110 dollar bluetooth addition.

it is very nice though.

I had the KW-NX7000 pictured above and just for my personal preference, it wasn't up to par with what I wanted for the price I paid.

I just finished putting in the new JVC KW-NT1 and am already in love with it. Much faster OS, has the built in bluetooth, xm/sirius ready, SD card, USB port and 3.5mm port in front for mp3 players if needed, and detachable face as well.

I did a lot of research and for my money the NT1 wins hands down. The screen is slightly smaller than that of the NX7000, but the interface and speed and features of the NT1 outweigh that for me. Not to take anything away from the 7000 at all though, its a very good unit as well.

Yeah, the OS is supposed to be a helluva lot faster. My guys at corporate says it puts the F series to shame.

Not at all. Dont sacrifice the quality of your HU to a JVC just because of a detachable face plate.

that KW-NT1 looks way nice but its almost another 200 dollars and so i think ill skip that one and stick with the the 910bt or the 900.

i still need to buy speakers and once i buy speakers ima need a new amp... sooo... 200 extra dollars means that i dont have to save for another 2 weeks.

know what i mean?

anyways. i should be ordering the stuff aug 17... thats when a freind is paying me back... so ill let you all know what i decide!

Well best of luck to you in whatever you decide. In the end, it all comes down to your preference and what works best for you and what you want it to do for you.

I was fortunate enough to get the NT1 for just over $700 total, so it was a deal I couldn't pass up. Not many JVC authorized dealers selling it for that cheap. Most had it from 900-1000 or so, but I was fortunate in this deal

thats a hell of a deal man! I just got in the mail today a check for 500 bucks (had to put a down payment of 500 for the iphone a year ago... suprisingly got it back today) so that will help pay for everything.....

since i got a few people helping me out with the HU maybe you could look at the speakers i plan on using..
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...ch+P1682S.html
get 4 of those
and then upgrade to one of these 2 amps
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...ss+CX800.html#
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...+F4.1200.html#

for the price if you can find better speakers and same with the amps lemme know!

i want a clean system but dont really care to spend 1k on speakers and an amp you know?

thanks for the help
