the d3 is the worst navi unit pioneer makes (imo)

Ive had abunch of pioneer hu's (n1,n2,n3,d2,d3,900bt).. If you dont want to sell out the money for the 700bt, take a look at the d2. I have that in my f150 and installed, it looks stock.. has 2 cd drives so you wont loose the navi feature when you play cds (like the n series and the d3) and its cheaper.

i paid 200 for mine about a month ago

I have the F700BT in my truck and I just love the darn thing. I got it in January and slowly modding it. I put in a Boyo reverse cam a couple months ago and that is really cool. I had upper spinal surgery in July and released from the dr. to start driving again for about a month. I don't have to strain my neck to back up. I finally broke down and got a BT phone (LG CF360) and that is working good, except for the voice recognition. My contacts don't transfer to the HU in the format it expects. But the contacts menu in the HU is easy to use. It runs Win CE, so there is a bootup process. Some people are bothered by this, but I have FM radio in about 10 seconds and a fully functional unit within 2 blocks of driving. When I got the unit, it had version 2.0 of the software, but I've upgraded it to 3.0 while I was laid up from surgery, and it went from good to great. The touch screen had a slight lag before, but now it's a breeze to surf through all the menus. The navi software got a nice facelift with the upgrade too. When you drive on four lane and interstates, the road signs appear just as you see them along the road. My son has a Garmin navi in his car, and he likes the TeleAtlas navi better. I don't have any experience with the F90BT, so I can't comment on it. I just wanted to express how very pleased I am with the purchase of the F700. I got it for $450 shipped from Amazon, and not a factory refurb either.

If you'd like to investigate further... avic411.com has hours and hours of reading for you. You can hack the crap out of this thing if that's what you're into...

The bluetooth in the 700 is worth the hundred bucks itself.
