double din through the years

double din through the years

so i hav a 99 f150 and it is double din.. a newer oem deck such as 05 is double din as well... same size? is the wiring the same? could i put a newer dbl din such as 6 disk in my 99? thanks

Double dins you got to do some trimming to fit in a 97-03

Different size, different plugs, different mounting methods. Save your time and go aftermarket...its not worth the hassle.

the 99 is not a true Double DIN. its considered a euro Din. i believe. its like a DIN and 7/8..

LOts of trimimg to make a double din fit. Whatch out for the location of the USB port.
