Not the wheels I wanted, but here they are:

Well...

Thanks to a recent run in with 5-0, resulting in $450 worth of tickets (running red light, 2.6% window tint, smoked cover on license plate)

I'm not going to be able to do the new BMF SOTA/Cooper Zeon LTZ Setup...

It was going to run about 2600 after everything

BUT

Found a great deal on chrome 20x9 Gear Alloy Recoils, mounted on 305/55 Nitto TG's, for $1100

Only 5,000 miles on rims and tires..

is this as good of a deal as i think it is??

Heres the rims new, on a H2:

and heres the actual rims im getting, on a F-dub

What do you guys think? For 1100?

theyre +30 offset , big difference from the -18 I wanted, but they will suffice until I can save for the BMF's, who knows, I may fall in love with them

Picking them up this weekend, will have pics by next week

Those look pretty sweet, but why settle for them if they're not what you're wanting to get? Do you need wheels ASAP or something? I'd hold out a while longer and get the wheels you want. Otherwise, I think you'll end up not being happy and trying to sell those wheels sometime down the road for a loss. Just my $0.02.

The price sounds good to me.

I don't mind the looks of them but why spend $1100 bucks before you save $2600 for the set up you really want? It seems counterproductive.

i agree, wait and buy what you want.

if there is really only 5k on those rims + tires, see if he will seperate them and buy the tires for $500, they you will have enough for the rims you want

Good things come to those who wait. It took me 9 months before I found the rims I wanted and it was well worth the wait IMO. I'm with IDNC76, you'll probably end up losing money. But you may have a really good reason for needing new ones now. IDK.

Yeah, Well i wasnt positive that I wanted to drop 1300 on just wheels in the first place...So since I cant stand the look of my truck now with the 3" BL, 2.5" AS, and dinky-*** tires on it, I would get these, and immediately put the wheels themselves on craigslist at say $600 or $800, and as soon as they sell...I'll have a good start on the 1300 for the BMF's, and I'd have 305/55 Nitto's for $200, compared to 360 a piece new...

Long story short I just have a lot of financial things coming up, and if i spread out the costs, it'd be better than dropping 2600 all at once IMO...

Either way though, the brand new coop zeon ltz's, or the Nitto TG's are going to be about 1100 by themselves...so how could I lose? If i sell the rims anytime soon for around 600...then i'm good to go?

Don't settle. I like those wheels better in the -18 form, but I don't think they fit well on our trucks with only a level. I was in the market for wheels, finally had them all picked out, and BLAP!, discontinued. I haven't really found any others I am interested in and since I like my OEM 20s, will likely just slap some 33 Toyo MTs on there and call it a day.

In short, don't settle, buy wheels and then tires later if you have to, but don't settle. Good luck though!
