Simple Question! How Easy is it to make a 2 or 3 inch seat lift for the rear of my 1998 extended cab seat?

or is it just easier to buy the lift!

I used the Hi-Rider kit from LMI Welding...if you have access to a fab shop and a pattern, it wouldn't be all that bad...pretty simple design. I had neither, so I spent the $100 bucks on the kit. Easy install and now I have room for my subwoofer box.

 

I went out and had 2 inch square tubing cut for mine, ended up going and buying a 2x2 and using that. the wood worked just fine for me and it cost me like 10 bucks.
