King Ranch Seat Conditioning

Golfer71,
One thing to remember(you probably already know this) is that your King Ranch's seats are NOT clearcoated. The leather seats in Lariats etc have a clearcoat on them for additional protection. Your seats do not. Now..this means the following.
1. In clearcoated leathers, you would not want to apply oil based conditioners like Lexol Leather conditioner. This oil based conditioner brakes down the clear coating, and will cause premature wear on the leather.
However, in your situation, Lexol is fine. You can also try Meguiar's Gold Class Leather Conditioner(it is a one-step cleaner conditioner.)
You might want to clean the leather first with a very mild household soap(ie. a drop of dove or two and lukewarm water, then wipe with a clean damp cloth, and then dry with a clean dry cloth).
Then apply your Lexol or Meguiar's conditioner. Of course, if you are using the Lexol system you would already have their PH Balance leather cleaner as well.
Two other items.
1. Avoid saddle soap. Many(including my father) will tell you to use saddle soap. Here is a link explaining why this is not a good idea. http://www.autopia-carcare.com/mytofsadsoap.html
2. I would use as little water as possible in your rag. You want the rag damp, like you would wash your face with, not dripping wet. Too much water just makes for a harder drying job.
Good luck
