Here comes the snow!

Well, we awoke this morning to find the white stuff all over the place. It's falling steadily, and the forcast does not look good. I guess I can't duck my head in a hole anymore about this, so, my newest concern has become what to do about snow tires. I know it sounds like putting catsup on a porterhouse, but this may be more a safety issue that an esthetic one. We all love to stare at our beautiful trucks. I do too, but I would rather not be looking at a big crunch job, simply because I chose looks over function. My '06 KR has the 20" Pirelli Scorpions. They are pretty tires, but they don't look like "snow" treads.
Who runs snow tires on their KR here? Any suggestions? I'll probably have the Pirellis busted off the stock wheels and just mount different rubber on those for the winter. At least that way I get to at least look at the wheels!

Your truck came with stock 20 inch tires? Did not know ford had them yet on the F150. Can I see pics?

20" tires

Hello

I got the cooper S/T tires on 20" rims. Below link to Cooper tires.

coopertires.com

If you want to see how they look on a KR, just go into my gallery.

Hope it helps.

Wow, nice I like them a lot. My neighbor has 17 inch on his Excursion. He runs the Pirelli in the summer and put a good set of BF goodrich on for the winter. Looks pretty good.

I don't need snow tires here in the Southern Tier, but I have a nice set of BFG A/T Revos that work great in the snow. I even live in the mountains and don't have any problems.

Yes,
Those are the tires. They do look really nice. They were part of the upgrade package on my purchase, but I was happy to pay the difference.
I have been hearing good things about a tire from Michelin. I will look into those and let you guys know.
I would love to post photos, but I don't know how to do that. Are there some instructions somewhere in this forum?
