I've looked at a few of the new KR's, but haven't got a chance to really study the seats. I have to ask, is the leather treated now? Is it even remotely close to any of the old KR seats or did they go a whole different route and do the standard treated leather like in every other vehicle out there? I don't mind how it looks but i would be a little let down if that were the case.

The new KR seats are not treated but Ford has switched from Castono leather to Chaparell which in my opinion is a more durable leather and will hold up better over time. Still need to clean and condition the same as with the older style seats. The color is different too. They have more of a reddish tint to them and when I was first looking for a new truck I wasn't sure I liked the new look compared to my 2005 but now that I have a 2010, I love it. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the info moose, I'm just glad to hear they didn't switch to a treated leather. I definitely like the color, but it is for sure a big change from the older style King Ranch leathers that have been used.
I'm sure Ford really didn't have much of a choice if they wanted to keep the King Ranch popular, so many used King Ranch's have seats that look hideous and I assume they got complaints from idiots who don't know how to take care of them.
Any-who, you have a beautiful truck, and I'm sorry to hear about the mishap with the old one.
