Did Dave Make it Back?

Dave, you alive out there? Haven't heard from you since before the KR trip. I have nothing better to do than to listen to you yap... since this damn job in Missouri is lagging because the state is sitting on their hands (and other body parts). Blah, this line of work is a 'hurry up and wait' game.

Yes, he's still here in Orlando. Unfortunately, I have been too busy to meet up with him though. He emailed me the other day and I have just not had the time to get away from work.

Hey Gang,

Just got back, it's after midnight and I'm completely worn out. I'll start posting pictures and garbage about Skagel tomorrow, hahaha. I've had almost no internet access since I've been away from home. I've got a bunch of catching up to do but I'll get right on it.

Hey Rock,

I'm alive and well. Okay, I'm tired as hell but I've had a blast in Texas and Florida. Orlando is a nice area and there are more hotels than anywhere else in the US. Also, there are plenty of crooks looking to separate you from your money. I went to a local camera shop and bought an extra battery for my digital camera and the price was in line with the internet. I also asked about a wide angle lens and the guy pulls one out and it looked nice but the price on the box was $885 and I promptly set it down. He quickly tells me no no no, I'll sell it to you for $175, I still said see you later. Then he shows me a polarized filter and tells me $25. I start thinking and I tell him to give me a package deal for all three and he then tells me $200 for everything and I bit the hook. The next day, it rains and we can't go to Disney so we go shopping in the outlet malls and I check prices and I still paid too much for the damn wide angle lens but I can't return it due to the fine print at the bottom of the receipt that says "All sales are final", bastards. Okay, they probably got me for an extra $40-$50 but it could have been much much worse if not for my sense I was being raped here. I'll never buy from Orlando shops again unless I've done my internet research of which I had no access while there so there was no easy way to check prices. Sorry for the speech but I needed to vent.

dufunnel,

I did my part to try and hook up with you while in Orlando, I don't know what else I could have done. I've had fun meeting and talking with a few other KR owners, I'm sure I'd say the same for you but I guess it'll have to wait.

Later,
DaveMan

f-150_91,

Are you sure you've got the right thread here, I'm lost with your comments.

BTW, you can buy a KR at any Ford truck dealer for the sum of around $37K, plus tax, used ones cost even more.

Good luck in college mate.

Good luck finding a used KR......once us KR's buy them we never give them up.....It is the leather.....it has traces of something that makes us obsessed.

oh and a KR for college.....kiddo I wish I had your kind of money when I was 18 and just out of high school......either that or you have no clue as to how much these beauties cost...
