Angry Sheesh

Just got a call about the new handle that came in for the ARE LSII lid. The guys down at the dealer opened it up and there was a "flaw" on the side of it. At least they called me before I drove down there this time. I think you're right Skagel that ARE is having problems with this particular color. Maybe they need to start baking that color before they send them out. After the dealer had a local body shop refinish the lid itself it looks pretty good. *shrug* Anyway, I told the dealer that I knew of a person that has the same color lid and has had paint problems too. Just thought I'd give an update here for an FYI to anyone thinking of putting an ARE LSII on their blue King Ranch.

That's interesting. I haven't had a bit of problem with my Leer cap. It matches beautifully and there are no flaws in it at all.

my best guess is they have a bad batch of paint with maybe some excess water in it by looking at skagel's lid

I don't know what to say about this, but so far my new handle is holding up and I have touched it at least 4 times. they tried to blame it on the key scratching the paint, but that didn't fly because I have the remote lock thing and never use a key to unlock the lid.
