I currently run 15 degrees on my street program, and 17 degrees on my track program. Mild enough to have no detonation even with day after day in the teens during early am drives to work.
Aggresive enough to run long period WOT Blast to @150 MPH +(God I love those) and even enough to run a 12.8 on bald F-1's with just a 4lb pulley and filter. (1st attempt)

Unfortunatly I never got better than a 13.1 with my 2-3 lb upper I run along with that 4lb lower. I had fuel delivery problems any time I tried running with all the extra Pulley Boost. The 12.8 was 1st attempt with the upper Pulley off. Next season that will be corrected with an adjustable fuel regulator and guage, along with my Denso IT-22's (LOVE THEM and already have a spare set for next year) a new fuel filter and a few other goodies like maybe a Single Blade Throttle Body.

Just curious on what timing you guys and gals are running ???

 

Last year best was a 12.50 @ 109 with a chip, filter, 3lb lower, plugs, & line valve.

This year I got in the 11's with the addition of a 6lb lower, valve body, full exhaust, and 28in slicks.

Stock convertor, stock fan, stock T/B.....

 

Timing/Time...it's all the same.

Do you think going to say 16 for the street, and 19 for the track will still be detonation and ping free with a nice rich tune.

I noticed your comment to Rich about slicks. I have a local customer who just sold his truck and is selling all the parts he got from me off it. He's got new Hooiser 28s on rims for $300 with only 5 passes on them. He's also got one of my chips, among other parts, and he's looking to let the stuff go cheap (think he might have $$ problems). Let me know if you're interested.
