Reading error?

I may be reading this sentence wrong, but it seems like they are saying it has had damage to it and has been repaired
salvage history, previews front end damage
whats the "front end damage" part?

Yes, you are right. This is Mustang Parts Specialties in Winder, GA. I live 8 miles down the road from this truck. I thought someone might like to see this, although it did have damage originally. Sorry it's not perfect.

Sounds like a rip-off. A Clean title with salvage history is a contradiction. If it has a salvage history it's a salvage title and not clean.

26,500 seems alot considering it is a salvage title. with all the L's that seem to be totaled lately, at least this one has made it back to the road.

From: Tampa, FL, or Memphis TN... depends.
I've been thinking of selling my '02 for 28.5k... and mine hasn't been in any accidents and is truely a clean title. 4500 miles.

I can assure all of you that $26,500 is ridiculous for a salvage titled L. I have seen 02’s roll thru the auction for that with less than 10k miles. I just bought a 02 Black with less than 7k for $27,500.

Oh well…maybe someone will buy it.

Actually, a vehicle can have a clean title but also have a salvage history.

I'm not sure how that state works, but here in MA for example, if you total your vehicle and then fix it it has a reconstructed title. If you then have it registered in VT, a state that doesn't use titles, and then re-register it in MA it's clean again. The title history gets wiped once the title isn't used in VT.

It's pretty time consuming and only works if you know someone in a non-title state, but you lose a lot of money in the resale of a salvaged vehicle. So for a dealer to do that i wouldn't put it passed them. Especially if they know someone in a non title state. Though mentioning the salvage history defeats the purpose of being underhanded.
