Ford Plan Question

Did a search with no luck.......

I am planning on purchasing an F-350 Powerstroke and would like to use the Xplan discount if possible. The dealer told me Xplan would be accepted however they would need personal information of the employee such as name,SSN, and so on...... To anyone her that used it, did you need this information when making the purchase?

I have a basic understanding from reading www.fordplans.com which answered most of my questions. Anyone help out with the setup?

Thanks
Anthony

All you need is the X-Plan Pin number. I haven't done this myself.....but from what ive read everywhere thats how it works. Hopefully someone else will chime in on this.

1 Call Ford motor company

2 Tell them you faxed in a copy of a (family and freinds plan)(x plan application 2 months ago and you have not heard anything yet.And you are ready to try a ford product right NOW

3 they will probally just email you another(1st) application which you can fax over again(1st)

The ap is simple as the 99 menu at a burger king returant.

They will email you a pin# Immidiatly and boom your done

We can all thank hylander(or I can) for getting us alot of Ls for 29k brand new!!

all u need is the pin#,most dealers in ny dont have a clue
about a/x/z plans, once they submit the pin # number
to ford for approval, ford has all the info from the pin.

Re: Ford Plan Question

You need the personal info in order to issue a pin number. At least that is the way it worked for the 5 or so I have issued. Not sure how it works with some of the more shady ways people are obtaining pins.

However, the dealer themselves should just need the pin.

So I should tell them the information is available by the dealer from just the pin number. Anyone have a valid PIN they wish to give away? I'm ready to purchase soon.

Thanks

I obtained an X-plan pin number thru Hylander .....Thank You

It was issued to my name and SS number. All it says I have to do is identify myself as an X-plan participant and provide my name and ss number. So the plan's are not transferable.

I think at this time lightninquick has provided the best avenue for you. But whatevery you pay, Iam sure you will like the truck.
Unless you are paying cash for the truck, the difference per $1000 on a 5 yr note is only 7 or 8 bucks, so I don't see how the 4K saving amounts to much. But thats what I think

another quick thing

check the xplan price first, sometimes on a vehicle
that isnt in demand like the L or thunderbird,
you can cut a better deal than xplan, being that
xplan price is set and theres no more haggling.

last year my father went to look for an
expedition, they had them marked down
with cash back at signing that they ended up
being cheaper than A plan.

assuming a 6% intrest rate and a 5 yr loan, the difference between 33,000 and 29,000 is about $80/month ....

All plan participants are always eligable for any factory incentives that are out there. So if there is a cash back or 0% offer, they are still eligable. I think it would be d@m near impossible to beat A-plan ever, since that is below the dealers cost and Ford is reimbursing the dealers for that.
