I Want to Buy a 2003L, but I live in AK
I really want to buy a 2003 Lightning, but there is only one dealer certified to sell them in all of Alaska and they want to charge me $34,000 for one. Even if I ordered it at that price, they can't promise that I may actually get the truck. Is it possible to order a car from a dealership outside your home state (in my case it is Alaska) and have it shipped to a local dealer for pick up? Do you guys think you could hook me up with some dealer contact info, preferrably from a dealership that won't try milk me for too much money. I really want one of these trucks for my summer vehicle.

Do you know what colors are coming in on Feb. 4th? That date is almost two months earlier than when I originally wanted to purchase the L. I was shooting for the end of March so that I could by my self the birthday present I know no one in my family would ever get for me, and also because there would only be about a month and a half of winter left up here. The thought of having an L in February would be too much torture, because the road conditions are more suited for my 4x4 F-150 (which was bought at Worthington) than for the L. I couldn't handle just looking at it and not being able to take it out for a drive to see what it can do. I am a for sure sell on a Shadow Gray L for the month of March, but would also consider purchasing it at the end of Feb. or beginning of March.
By the way 4 are inbound and are scheduled to be here on or about the 4th of Feb.
You had to tease me with that comment? What kind of a deal could I get on one of those?
Call Tommy Perez (he is the GM) at MAXWELL FORD in Austin TX. He will do ANYTHING FOR ANYONE! And he will sell it at or below invoice (invoice minus any rebates)
I think I might do that, I would be stupid not to call someone like that.
Thanks for the help guys,
David

Having drove to Alaska and back, I would say that drivng the L up thier would almost be torture, unless you have the front end taped up so no rock damage, and plan on a new windshield if the road is in bad shape.
Oh, if you get the chance, eat at the Pipeline Club in Valdez, awesome Halibit (sp?)
