Manley Rods question

Did a search and there was a lot of info on rods but no part numbers. Does anyone know the part number for a set of manley rods for a 2000L. Also I hear maley makes pistons, has anyone ever ran Manley pistons? If you have did you like them?
Thanks in advance,

Peace, Suavy

Part # 14040 for the rods and i have Manley pistons, and have had no problems so far,but have not put them to the test yet.

Anyone that is only planning on running 11.5 or higher should just stick with the Federated Mogul stock forged pistons, and those that want to run quicker, should look into aftermarket pistons for the long haul IMHO.

I removed my engine and bought my own parts, and then had More Power inc. here in the Grand Rapids area do the rods, pistons[also Manley] headporting, valves, springs, balancing ect.

The above requires an engine builder imho, and not a shade tree mechanic like myself ... i wouldn't even let a Ford mechanic tear into my motor as,chances are,99% of them have never built an L motor, and don't have the equiptment to do so.

I don't have an aftermarket blower on yet,so i can't say whether i like them, but at least 90% of all built L motors....have Manley rods.

If you do more than just rods,it may be cheaper to buy a built block from one of the tuners.
This was not an option when i had mine done.

LOL Joe your more than welcome,as long as you don't require digital pics of the part #'s or photographic evidence that indeed, said motor has actually been built

After seeing the size of the lower pulley you put on for a few test runs at Stanton last fall...........there is now way that your motor isn't built

Actually I do.......remember I asked you to pop your hood so I could snap a picture really quick before you made a pass and you were like "Hurry up I am making too much heat"

Thanks for all your info ibfast, and Joe it's always cool to hear from you.

I was hoping to get a factory direct price on rods from Manley. They supply us with rods for the Cobra's. That's why I needed the part numbers.

Joe seen me bet my azzz handed to me by a Black "C" 454 ss truck. Who said he was pushing 500hp. He didn't line up with Joe so joe couldnt show him that Lightning are the boss!!! This year I want to suprize him and a couple of 6 speed fire birds who beat me also. IBFAST, would you e-mail me with more info on cost and such on your engine work. jgonza94@ford.com
