Seals It looks like the ticket:

I can then add some neoprene washers where the outside edge of the heim clicks against other hard parts.

The replacement bar you sent had the same joints on both ends, whereas the original bar had a seal on one of the joints, the diff end, I think. Thanks, Stan.

Thank you, sir. That's an old picture, too. I have added other parts and painted (undercoated actually) the axle and all surrounding surfaces. It's a shame that all of this work goes unnoticed--my truck looks completely stock from the outside.

A little FYI

Don't lift the rear of a car by the center of the dif. The tubes are relitivly thin wall and you can knock the entire rear end out of alignment. Pick up at the spring mount.
