Angry oh yeah i forgot

just in case someone decides to buy a lightning and can use the A,X, or Z plans, good luck....most dealers on SVT vehicles won't accept either of the plans...from what i've heard though, could be different, but with the way things are going...i think it will be hard.....

Cool Been looking at used ones...

I've been looking at used L's... I was looking to buy Joe's '01.
I've seen a bunch of really nice used ones... I just need to get the money!!! I hate being relatively broke. As far as the '03's go... I went and checked out a nice new red '03 at the dealer here in Raleigh... all I can say is damn. I want one...

Uh....I got my 03 L at Xplan...and I know of at least 3 others that scored the same deal from the same dealer.

You just have to email every darned SVT dealer in a fifty mile radius, one of them will want your business.
If that doesn't work...go out to 100 mile radius...you'll find one and 100 miles is nothing to get an L at 29,600.00...new.

What I realized after I bought mine was, I could have saved about 8,000 and bought a used one with hardly any miles on it and been just as happy and satisfied. An 01 or even a 02. I had two picked out but then decided to go for the brand new one. For now on in I will "attempt" to buy a new used vehicle instead of off the showroom floor, there is much money to be saved. People ALWAYS buy cars they can't afford or don't like and then try to get rid of them right away. They also know the second you drive off the dealer lot you lost a min of 5k

HELL IVE SEEN 99 AND 00'S GO FOR ALMOST THIRTY ON USED LOTS. I WENT TO SEE ABOUT A 03 COBRA A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO AND THE DEALER ONLY WANTED TO GIVE ME 17,800 FOR MY 02 SILVER L. RIP OFF!!! I TOLD THEM TO NEVER MIND. ILL JUST KEEP MY L,BESIDES THEY HAVE MORE ROOM THAN THE COBRA. AND SEEM TO ATTRACT MORE ATTENTION.

Why are you guys so pissed at the dealer for low balling the price. You aren't obligated to sell it to them and they aren't obligated to buy it from you. Sell it on the open market and see what you can get for it. The car dealers are in the business to sell cars. A private buyer is buying it to use, where as a dealer would be buying it to sell. It's only common sense that tells you they aren't going to give you as much as an individual buyer. A vehicle is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it and every market is different. What may sell for a lot of money in Florida may not sell for much in Minnesota.

Yeah, why wouldn't you want to send a salesman's kid to college for a semester since he "helped" you for about half an hour?
Especially since you've been reading every article and brochure printed on one particular vehicle for a month, and can probably tell the salesman things about the vehicle he doesn't even know. Heck, he probably drove all the way from the showroom to the corner of the lot in the golfcart, that's got to be worth $1000 right there.

What's $4000 profit when you buy it and another $4000 when they sell it AGAIN anyway. Remember, you're in the market to give away all your money as fast as you can. Ever notice they don't even try to kiss ya first?, it's just straight to the reamin! But Hey, at least I'm not bitter.

I'm glad you aren't bitter, but one thing you are, and that is very misinformed. If selling cars was as lucrative as you think it is, I would have definitely gone into that profession. The profit margin you mentioned, for one, is definitely out of wack, but thier is a thing called expenses when you sell something. It's not just all profit and very little of it goes to the salesperson.
