Seeing your name at the top of your list, I'm curious of what you have in your truck?? Thanks!

Well, in a nutshell, everything we sell is on the truck. PSP motor, Works 112 blower, PSP/NX nitrous package, all the PSP bolt on goodies (FASTair, pulley, water pump, etc), PI converter, Factory Tech monster box, 3.55s, traction bars, Hooiser slicks, PSP roll bar, etc, etc. We also run at full weight, 4760 lbs. Aside from the roll pan, there is nothing done to to truck to make it lighter than what I expect my customers to run at.

Cool My $0.02 cents

Everything but the kitchen sink. He makes incredible power in spite of racing with a serious weight penalty. A very nice guy who is willing to help out anyone on race day. He makes the L community proud.

3.55???

Is it too hard to launch properly with 3.73 or 4.10?

I would guess the 3.55s to keep the RPMs at a reasonable level at the end of a run?

It would probably run out of steam up high with any higher gearing. Can you imagine what RPMs you'd be turning at 132MPH with 4.10s
That's just speculation though, not sure why he runs the gears he does.

Well using the gear calculator, Let say Sal is running through the traps at 132mph with 3.55's and his 30" Hoosier Radials (29.5" actual height) his rpms will be 5,337.

Now let say JL runs the same as Sal, but with his 4.10's. (I believe JL has 4.10's) His rpms would be 6,164 rpms.
I wonder if JL really runs 4.10's?

*Note: Figures are corrected with a 3rd gear ( 1 to 1 ) ratio.

At then end of 2001, we had the fastest Gen 2 around, with our 11.20 @ 118 ET. However that ET came from running in 4th gear. At the time, the truck was accelerating so fast that we were hitting 6000 rpms by the 1000ft. So we had to upshift into OD to finish a pass, and that was hurting ETs. For the 02 season, I took the stock 3.73s out, put 3.55s in, and went to a 30" tire. So now we have an effective rear end ratio of about 3.30. With this combo, we now go through the traps right at 6k.

Too bad FT can't come up with a different OD planetary set. Maybe a .85 instead of the stock .71...

I'm not saying it'd be easy for FT or anyone else for that matter, it'd just be nice for the 1/4 mile.
