I am Famous[sort of]
Spike sent this to me about his video of me running a Laguna Seca.I made the front page atleast. If you have not watched it it is pretty good and you mainly hear the exhaust and not the blower.Stan

If you notice that Spike leaves out 1 turn in the video. The reason I let him pass was because coming out of turn 6[the one left out of the video]there is a sound booth and I already had to flags against me and one more I am done.So not to slow him up and I was coming to where I had to slow down I let him by.Plus it was my first time at laguna so I did not know the course as well..
As for the blocking of the upper grille I have done that for some time for aero reasons. But how many of you DRIVE with it still in.I ran the whole day with no heat problems. Not likely unless you do some other things to help get air to the rad.Stan

As Stan mentioned, I left out a couple turns mainly because he had two black flags for noise violations. After three noise violations, your day is over, even if it's on your third lap. I know what this is like because one day, I got two black flags early on. One was on my second lap and another was on my third lap. On that day, there was a mic past turn 4 and another past turn 5. Sometimes (although rare), they even have a roaming mic and you never know where it is.
The noise restriction is now 91 dB's and if you are wondering, a STOCK Z06 is too loud for a 92 dB limit. The sound booth on this day was located near the track between turns 5 and 6.
Stan was backing off the throttle at the turn is at turn 5 and stayed off it until the braking zone at turn 6. Thus, that whole section wasn't worth showing.
As far as the exhaust is concerned, Stan has oval tips on both sides and although it's hard to believe, it sounds VERY much like a Lamborghini's exhaust.
