Question Is the new Works blower to be "whisper quiet"?

Hi guys, I was just dorking around on the net and found this little caption on superchargersonline.com It is a couple of photo's and captions from the '02 SEMA show.

So is the new works going to be "whisper quiet" or do they just mean in comparison to an old standard vortech or other similarly "noisey" centrifigal supercharger???

The Works Power Supercharger System designed to be a bolt-on replacement kit for the newer generation Ford Lightning. This supercharger utilizes the Whipple Twin-Screw supercharger head unit and, by virtue of its whisper-quiet demeanor, will surprise anyone off the line! Keep up the good work, Champ

just curious.

I hope it still has some whine to it!

any of you california boys care to comment on your personal experience? calightnin?

later,
chris

I would think that they just mean it is quiet at idle and when it isn't into boost. That is just my guess.

I want my first-time passengers to whip their heads around to the rear to look for the cops because they think were being pulled over because of the 'police siren' sound at WOT.

True story, BTW.

I think Steve has a sound clip, or maybe even a video of the Works 140 on the dyno. It does not have the high pitched scream of the Eaton, but it does make some noise.

I don't know what I like more, the blower whine or the exhaust Don't deny me of both

The Works sound more like a whistle, kinda like Rubb Bubb and Lil Sis. Its very high pitched like a turbo. You could hear it a mile away easy because one of our club members took somones truck out to beat on it and you could " hear it " from a great distance. Sounds cooler then the scream of the eaton if you ask me.

Rob, I'm not running a Works 140 on my truck. I'm running a Works 112 at 18 psi. Yes it screams . Think of it as the factory blower on steroids .
