super charger oil question

Is there anything special about the oil used in the blowers on our trucks?, is it possible to use another type of oil, like mobile 1 motor oil or another type of lite oil?, im just asking and trying to learn here, I don`t plan on doing this to my truck, I was just wondering.

I know you said you wouldn't but please, do not put any kind of motor oil in your supercharger .

Go to your friendly Pontiac parts dealer and buy some of their Eaton s/c oil.

It's not "Ford or GM stuff". It's Eaton stuff, GM just sells it cheaper.

No, I wasn`t going to use motor oil in my blower, I was just wondering if it was something special/different than motor oil, and I guess it is.

Thanks

Larry.
