1st pass at track today, pedal stuck to the floor!!! Oh *****!!!
Hey guys,
Was at my local track today playing around with a few of my friends who have Grand Nationals (5 total to be exact) Raced them all, beat a couple and got my a$$ waxed by a couple. I ain't scared to race them...
Anyway, on my first pass. When I went through the trap and let off the pedal, I was still hauling a$$. I immediately turned the truck off and put the trans. in neutral. That was the best thing I could think to do at the moment.
I have the Lightning velour floor mats in my truck. After I stopped and cleaned my drawers out, I opened the hood first to check my T/B (no problems), then I checked the pedal and it was back up in the correct position. All I could figure was the bottom of the pedal got stuck in the floor mat.
The rest of the day, I kept the floor mat out of the truck.
I have one friend who had his truck damaged while at a garage. Said the pedal stuck when one of the employee's was backing up, and he ended up smashing the whole back of his L.
I'm racing with no floor mats in the Drivers side from now on.
BTW, my best 60' today with the Hoosier Quick Time Pro's was a 1.71. They hook up great, don't have to worry about maybe blowing the tires out at the light, like with the Nitto Drag Radials. The Nitto's are great for the street, but they are inconsistent at the track.

Stuck Throttle Body
I'm glad things worked out for you during that crazy experience. I know you had tons of HERSHEY Chocolate in your underwear after that. I fear everyday when I drive my Lightning if the gas pedal or TB will get stuck. It could be life threatening on the streets. I'm glad you're okay though. Too bad I can't say the same for your underwear.

Thanks,
I guess when we push the gas pedal to the floor it lays down pretty flat. My floor mat is a regular size mat. I had the floor mat positioned in the in the hook in the floor. It must slide forward just enough in that area to cause the problem.
There was 4 GN's and 1 T-Type. I think the fastest GN there was 11.40...
