IMHO, not ugly and very fast. I'm strongly considering trading my L for one.

I haven't seen any guestimates for 0-60, or 1/4 mile times. I am curious though.

I think they anticipate low 13s - high 12s stock. 300 hp 2.5L with strengthened block, coated pistons and forged rods = able to put out serious HP. Wouldn't doubt people get them in the 11s by the end of the year.

I guess it depends on what you consider fast. Couple og weeks ago, from one stoplight to another (approx an 1/8") I took a Blue one by about 8 car lengths.

The sti will be much faster than the car you raced.

Car and Driver reported 0-60 5.4 and 1/4 mile 14.1. Thats from a 227 HP and 217 TQ WRX. So what does another 73 HP do? 5 seconds flat to 60 and 13.5 in the 1/4?

Remember that the car is not that heavy....So another 73 hp is like putting another 150 into an L....I would say that the car will be mean when it comes out, and with awd it will launch out of the hole like nobody's business...The current wrx's are usually no problem unless heavily modded, but I will defenitely be keeping my eyes open for the new ones....

Thats funny, My wife and I actually looked at a 2002 Yellow WRX wagon that my wife fell in love with. She is thinking about it.
The dealer told us to hold off for the new Mid year model(300 hp) coming out but she likes the yellow WRX and we may get it as a left over.

The one we looked at had Aluminum pedals, White faced gauges, Momo steering wheel and sport seats (looked like Recaros, though I did not look for label)
This car was loaded with sporty looking interior, it was new and best of all AWD and good in the snowy area I am from.
Well see what she decides.

I seen 4.5sec 0-60 and 13.5 1/4 mile somewhere from the STI, but I bet that it won't take long to see low 12 STI's. A lot of the stock blocked WRX's are able to run high 12's easy enough, imagine with more hp to start with and a better block with better internals can do.

AWD, six-speed, 122hp/L...fun fun car
