That is just an ignorant statement. The guy just bought the truck, its BRAND NEW without ANY MODS. I would think the expectation with a new vehicle that has no aftermarket parts on it, is that it won't launch a plug through the hood after 50 miles!

Well im happy with my SS right now, i think im gonna go ahead and just wait a bit for an L, i dont really need 2 cars right now anyway. What im thinking i might do is, get some new rods for the SS, and buy a Vortech for it, make it a beast, it has 11,000 miles on it, and i havent had one problem with it as of yet......i could just BAAARELY afford both if i ended up with the L too, and i dont want to live like that ya know

Yeah my service guy lied to me to. When my truck spit a plug he told me he had it in his hand when I was talking to him(the spark plug was sitting on my toolbox in front of me when he said that) and that they would retap the head. I gave him a little chuckle of the phone and 3 weeks a new head later I was back on the road.If there is one thing that pisses me off it is LIARS. -Mat-

Looks like the guy has solved the problem.

But, who's to say the truck didn't have any mods? It could of had a 6lb lower pulley and a chip. It is his word against Ford. He is lucky they resolved the problem to his satisfaction. Many others haven't had the same luck. Spark plugs have been blowing out for a long time. If you don't want a blown plug don't buy a 5.4 or 6.8 engine.

But Ford can't even get the foglights to stop cracking? I bet I could beat the snot out of an SS's foglights and they'd be fine. SVT foglights should be able to handle stock power, and not even start to fracture until you're pushing 500 hp.

Thumbs up

easterisland, it was the funniest 5 word post I've ever read on this site.

Anybody who thought you were serious is wound too tight.

01SSmokinSS, glad it worked out for you. Count your lucky stars she blew on day one, before you did mods or they calculated that there was a 1/4 track within 39 miles of there.
