That sucks. When is Ford going to get someone can engineer a Head? I do not hear of any other manufacture with this kind of problem.

The only SURE way to not crack the fogs is to NOT turn them on
in the rain or the fog. (This is actually what one person told me!)

I would agree with the comment that the plug was poorly installed to have blown out with only 39 miles on it.

One thing I can tell you is there is no way Ford is pulling the vehicle back for repairs and re-sale as a new vehicle, don't care what some salesman said.

Personally I don't care if a new vehicle has 39 miles or 3,900 miles, once you buy it and it launches a plug, it is the responsibility of the warranty to make the repair, not hand over a new vehicle or buy out the contract.

A manufacturer sets a dangerous precedent when they make such a decision, since every guy out there in the same situation should be offered similar options.

Exactly! They should stick it to him real good. Maybe give him the run around on a loaner, or better yet no loaner. I mean what's the difference between 1 day old and 2.5 years old? I think we should also get rid of lemon laws. Who needs them? If you are dumb enough to purchase a Ford you should just deal with the problems.

I have a vested interest in the explanation of just went wrong and I have a call in to the SVT service tech @ Planet Ford in Spring, TX - to find out exactly what happened - I'll let you all know as soon as he calls me back...
