Dyno Results -- Thanks Sal !!!

Had a few spare hours this morning and the Dyno Dynamics
fellas at Fast Enough performance were available. Put Christine
through her paces several times (6 pulls).

Pulled the truck right on and had it at "normal" operating
temperature from the 15 minute ride to Fast Enough. The
first pull was followed by two more, each stronger than
the previous, and we maxed out at 379.9 HP at the rear wheels!

Everything looked great, and the net change over my last
dyno was 20 HP across the board. The entire curve was 20 HP
higher!

Team PSP Rules !!!

Thanks for the HP, Sal !!!

Question Alot of missing information here...

It would be nice to know what mods you are running on your truck to obtain those numbers. Otherwise....we gain NO information from your numbers.

Are the #'s SAE?
What was the rear tire pressure?
Were there any differences in the first dyno and this last one from which you made more power?

First off, that is a nice number you put down. What was your Torque>???

Second, do you run the BR-7's on the street>??? I am thinking about switching to them but I drive on the street a lot and don't want to keep fouling them. I don't mind a little rough idle but don't when have to change spark plugs every other day. Thanks, -Mat-

Mat ...

We had a problem finding a constant timing source, (The Ford
TEST wire didn't seem to work consistantly) and therefore the
torque isn't very reliable ... (For instance, one spike showed
600 and we know that ain't so!!!) The Dyno Dynamics has
a parameter that is called "resistive force" which measures
the amount of force that the truck exhibits trying to "go forward".

This number was 2116, and I hope others that use the Dyno
Dynamics will post their numbers.

My truck runs fine on the BR7's ... It doesn't spend much time
at idle, so an occasional "miss" isn't uncommon in the cold air.

Cliff

PS ... I have the Dyno Printouts that I will post this evening ...

First off.........nothing against Sal or PSP or his tuning ability etc etc etc......am I the only one who thinks his numbers should be higher for those mods above

Rear Wheel? I thought it was fantastic !!! Depending on the
"conversion" factor for transmission loss it is between 424 and
460 Crank ...

All I know is that it one crazy SOTP ride now ...

My NGK BR7EFs have been in almost 26,000 miles. I drive both interstate and around town as well as the 1/4 mile. Yes, they miss at low rpms but no, they don't have to be changed every other day. See the dyno numbers on these 'old' plugs--back on the 20th of Jan.

I agree, Joe, that number seems a little low for a 4 lber+++.

Yes SVT-KY I do think it should be WAY higher. You should easily be in the 400/500 club with your mods.
I am sure your truck is fast and 1 crazy ride but it should be crazier

Also........I never said your numbers were "terrible" as you stated, I just feel they should be higher. Please don't turn this into a stupid argument like 75% of other threads......I was just offering my opinion.

Is that so terrible, Joe?

whats a/f ratio on the dyno

i think his #'s are fine

if it's a typical sal tune, that should be right on

with a 6lber he would be in the 400/500 club,

thats where i was with the 6lber and a conservative tune

you can always make more power, but that don't mean the truck is going to last

don't pay any attention to the haters! lol

Fixed ... <grin> I agree, I certainly don't want to argue ...

Gator ... Is that corrected crank HP? or RWHP? And aren't the
DYNOJETS notorious for reporting a skewed somewhat higher
number? <Not a DYNO flame!>

Also ... This was on the STREET program as I
didn't have any race gas available. Gonna redo
that next week ...
