Modded the Truk Traks

First, just want to say that Jay's Truk Traks are quality built, industrial strength traction bars. Way to go Jay.
Anyway, I capped the ends of the bars with some machined aluminium pieces to give it some minor bling bling when viewing from the back of the truck.
They are 2 pieces, a bracket which bolts to the 2 x 3 square tubing, then an end cap which bolts to the bracket.
Now all I have to do is install the traction bars, which I will get around to once hibernation season ends. It's just to cold out there right now.
I think I have cabin fever, I'm modding the mods, making boltons for the boltons. Please spring, come soon. Hehe!

Cool

HI!... I built my own traction bars about 2.5 years ago. I couldn't justify paying that much money for something I could build myself cheaper and better. Mine are fully boxed and all TIG welded They make no noise while driving (slapping). I have mine set at 3/4" space between the snubber and leaf spring eyelet. Here's a few pics. I made these for less than $200(CAN)/ $90(U.S). They use are stainless steel hardware too.

Hey those bars look firmiliar

Great work Dave........I knew you would do something sweet after what we talked about.

How about a lightning bolt engraved and painted black on those plates now

Also......did you drill a hole in the bottom of the bar at the rear so they can drain??

I got bored one day myself and decided to paint mine white. I also polished the aluminum snubber spacers and they look like chrome.

Good job.

I've always thought they would look better with the ends capped.
