I am 21, married and have a 1999 L.
I used the $5,000 gift from the wedding to put down on the Lightning. LOL Plus i got a good deal on the L $19,500. I also pay very little for Insurance. My parents own there own business and the truck in listed under the business. (still full coverage)
The payment are a little high but i only got a 3 year loan.
Work hard Play hard

Not everyone is delt the same cards in life. I picked up my first Lighting Feb. 10th (Sonic Blue) It's a mid life crisis thing. Next month I will be 50, mentally maybe 21. The L Totally Rocks My World. My other truck is a '01 Screw 4 wheel drive.
The wait was worth it! I dig the L!!!!! If you want an L, work hard and save your money.

I'm only 19 so here's my scenario. I waited a year and worked my a$$ off didn't do much of anything else and saved and saved. Now last year i bought my 01 Silver L with a couple of bling things on it (wing, billet grill) already which saved me some money. But I have no regrets about buying it and would do it a gain in a heartbeat. These trucks rock!!!

Im 20 and I am on my second car. I dont have a Lightning but I do still have a nice car. I will openly admit that besides the $7500 I gave towards the car ,the rest my parents paid for under the condition I do well in school which I did. I work 35 hours a week while being a full time college student. If it helps any at all ,I paid for all my mods(which is quite a bit)
